Radio
jessie Sherman - United States (Tuesday, December 30, 2014)
I have owned my SS 158 for over 10 years, and have had no issues with this radio. I had a General Lee previously, and this radio is just as good. This is truly a great radio for the money. It sounds and can be upgraded w/ little money. Even out of the box with tuning. It competes with Connex, General Lee, and comparable models.

Ranger Superstar 158EDX

The Superstar 158EDX radio is a great performer for a great price. The sideband works great but, AM is where it really lays the maul down.If your looking for a loud AM radio but want sideband that works great look no further. Now don't worry about the rumors saying that the radio drifts terrible because that is not completly true.Yes some of these radios due have a little drift before warm up but only a flicker on the last digit until radio is in full warm up mode then stability is achieved. So if your radio is properly align and tuned correctly you should have no problems.I've own one for two years with no problems.Mine dead key's 2 watts swinging to 35 watts AM and sideband around 32 watts all with out a swing kit. So if you install a swing kit expect even more bigger swinging watts. Note this radio is so loud on AM 35 watts will sound like your doing twice as much power than you are actually doing. That's what make's this radio special. It's like having a General Lee with sideband.Sorry for being long winded but this radio rock's, and you'll love it!
