The Galaxy Dx-2517 has a lot of great features. It's similar to the Galaxy DX77, Dx88 and Dx99 mobile radios. I has AM, FM, SSB, around 40w after tuning, frequency counter, dual echo control, variable talk-back control. Make it loud with our Modulation Upgrade.
Like the mobile versions you can adjust the clarifier for transmit (tx) and receive (rx)independently. The dual knob clarifier on the Galaxy 2517 has a coarse frequency control (large outer knob) that adjust the tx and rx together varying by over a half channel and the smaller "inner knob" that is a fine tune for the rx only. This is great if the station you are talking with has a slightly different tx and rx frequency. You can slide/adjust in-between any channel you like and tune in most anyone.
